Be back tomorrow to share another image from this set with you.

Hi All,

Ive been playing with the Crafty Secrets set called Seasonal Friends.  I've really had fun coloring these images. The girls in this set are all dressed appropriately for each of the four seasons.  I think this stamp set would be great for making a set of cards as gifts.

She looks just like a Southern Bell.
Here are the Copics I used. I am finding it easier to take a picture of the Copics instead of listing them one-by-one!

Just Rite

Today my cards are made with a Just Rite stamp set.  I must admit, I knew I liked the images but I didn't know how much I would like working with these stamps.  Honestly, I want more.  The first few cards I made I used the Beautiful Day Borders & Centers set.  I usually have an image as the focal point for my cards but I really loved using the sentiments as my centerpiece.  I was a nice change for me.
Here is a closer look at the sentiment.  I used the cracked glass technique on the frame.
For some reason it reminds me of being in a garden.  I liked the way it turned out.
Supplies Used
JustRite Stampers, Beautiful Day
Memento Ink, Tuxedo Black
Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Pealed Paint & Shabby Shutters
Archival Ink, Sephia

Spellbinders, Ovals & Label 10 die
Martha Stuart Butterfly Punch
Recollections Edger Punch
Studio G Rhinestones
Thick UTEE for Cracked Glass Technique

Here is another version of the same sentiment.
I chose to go with softer colors so of course I chose pink! I kept this card fairly simple.

I added only ribbon and a small rose for embellishment.  Check back tomorrow, I will have more to show you!

Crafty Secrets

I love Crafty Secrets, really who doesn't ?  So, when I saw the new Farm Chicks stamp set I was looking forward to working with it.  I wanted to use earthy, subdued colors as I usually gravitate to pastel, very girlie colors.  I have also always liked the country French look so that is what I had in mind for these cards.
I think this large rooster head is my favorite of the stamp set.

I totally love the "first place" ribbon style embellishments I' am seeing everywhere so I had to try my hand at it.  The Grade A stamp was perfect for the center!

Last but not Least

Last but not least is The Greeting Farm’s Cheeky Nurse.
I thought she would look cute on a pill box with a little prescription noted on the tag.
I tucked some M&M candy inside because chocolate always makes me feel better!

I don’t know why but I was very drawn to the pattern paper on the following card, maybe because the colors were so soft and subdued.  I decided to go with a very simple layout and I really liked the way it turned out.

OK, peeps, I'm out.  Hope you have a great day!

Cheeky Glamour

Today I am showing-off The Greeting Farm’s Cheeky Glamour Girl. I totally love her!
I chose to color her in the classic bombshell style so I gave her platinum blond hair. You know, the Mae West, Marilyn Monroe style. I thought she looked great however, my daughter said she look like she had old gray hair!..................Oh well, what does she know, pfft!

Again, loving the tiny tags for the greeting.
Here she is again minus the platinum hair just in case anyone agrees with my daughter lol.  This time I added a Mae West quote to the card.  Maybe my first card may have worked better if I had added Mae West’s quote to it instead of this one???   Maybe I am just over thinking it!
The flower I used here was not really the shade of yellow I needed so I used my Copic Pens & Copic Air Brush system and airbrushed it the color I wanted.  I love my Copic airbrush mini compressor!

Hope you enjoyed my little glamour girls! I’ll be back tomorrow with Cheeky Nurse.
Have a great day!

Oh so Cheeky!

StampinEJ has some new stamps in the store from Inky Antics, Impression Obsession and the Greeting Farm. Here is what I picked up. I love the Cheeky Girls from TGF so I chose to work with them for this post. I just think they are the cutest!

I had just picked up the new October Afternoon Modern Homemaker 8 x8 paper pad and knew the Cheeky Cherry Pie baker would be just perfect for it!  I stamped her in black Memento Ink and went to work using my Copics.  I am so into using small tags for my sentiments right now. I typically tie it to what ever embellishment I am using.
I really like using the small tags because it’s easier to include a sentiment on the front of a card, especially when your image is somewhat large. It eliminates the hassle of trying to figure out where the heck to put the greeting!
Cheeky Cherry Pie looks cute on my new grocery list too!
That’s it for today, I will be back to post my Cheeky Glamour girl tomorrow!

Happy New Year

Well another year has come and gone, and this month is already at its end. I know I sound like a broken record when I say this but….. time passes so quickly.

I am looking forward to the New Year. I plan on spending less time at work and more time with my family. I feel like I live at work and I am so tired of it. Don’t misunderstand me, I am so thankful to have my job in a time when so many others can not find work. I just want to work a little less as I typically work much more than 40 hours a week.

I have a long list of things I want to do this year. I want to paint the interior of my home as well as re-decorate. I want to spend more time in my craft room. Go to more antique swap meets and of course spend a little time each day with my grandbabies, Sophie and Isaiah.

To start the New Year off I have been invited to be a designer on Stampin EJ’s Designer Team. I am excited about that! Stampin EJ is a rubber stamp store tucked inside of Debra’s Cottage, located in Costa Mesa, CA. If you live in the area stop by and see her. She carries a large selection of rubber stamp manufacturers, inks and embellishments. You won’t walk out empty handed! She  has an online store too.  http://www.thestamproprietor.com/

Here are a few cards I just made for Stampin EJ using a cute cupcake stamp by Impression Obsession.

It's difficult to see but I outlined the cupcake and baby duck in glitter. I also used this image as an Easter Card
